President Edgar Odell Lovett proposes an "honor system for the conduct of examinations" and a student government to oversee resident life during his inaugural address on October 12. Students elect their initial Honor Council and adopt an Honor Code. Lovett views the Honor System as the cornerstone of his academic program.
