On November 7 during Homecoming weekend, Rice launches the public phase of its $1 billion Centennial Campaign, the most ambitious fundraising effort in Rice's history and the largest philanthropic campaign in Houston. Prior to the Homecoming announcement, the Campaign raises $500 million. Planned to fulfill the objectives of the Vision for the Second Century (V2C), the campaign will conclude in October 2012.
