In the 1970s students across the US bring streaking through campus to daring new heights. Baker College institutionalizes this fad at Rice by sponsoring "Baker 13." On the 13th and 31st of each month (or on the 26th when 31 is not available), streakers garbed only in shaving cream run through campus, leaving body prints on plate glass windows. Chanting, "Join us," in zombielike fashion, the runners try to break into residential colleges to embellish interiors with shaving cream prints; defenders drive them off with hoses and buckets of water.
