1912

The Administration Building (now called Lovett Hall), designed by architects Cram, Goodhue & Ferguson, is completed. The building marks a high point of Ralph Adams Cram's career to that date. Cram was known for his churches, libraries and schools before taking on Rice Institute's master plan, and he went on to build important projects at Sweet Briar, Princeton University and West Point.
